First, we collected as much information as possible. We came up with the best estimate we could. The client agreed on estimated prices so we arrange the quote visit to confirm it. After the visit, we sent a revised firmed quote detailing all the costs involved. Once the client agreed on it we arranged the time and date. Booking reminders were sent by email and text messages and on the day of the work, a text was sent with the ability to track the location of the team.

On this particular job, firstly we had to fit some loose tiles. Once fitted, regrout them and clean them removing the limescale from the tiles. It wasn’t easy, so we repeated the process of cleaning and finally achieved some satisfactory results.

Once it dried out a sealer was applied to protect it from staining and dirt.
Summary
It was an outdoor job and the weather played a big role in this. We cleared our calendar for the entire week just in case the weather is not good. It turned out a good move as on the first day early afternoon it started raining. We had to call it a day and come back the next day. The weather was uncertain all the time, but we managed to complete the job in 4 days. I guess if you don’t like the weather in the UK, just wait 5 mins :).
Aftercare
The client was very pleased with the work, she gave us some additional rendering and painting work. We recommended what to use for maintenance cleaning and we have a reminder set up in 6 & 12 months to see if all is good with the stone.

I own and manage Evolve and Grow Ltd a business consultancy service specialising in small to medium sized businesses and as such see clients at home. Excellent prompt service to clean carpet and dry it out after a plumbing problem. Johnny even left his blower machine overnight for a couple of nights to dry out the carpet. Good to know there are still reliable people out there.

Fantastic, we didn't think Silver Lining Floor Care would get our carpets anywhere near as clean as they did (cream carpets + 2 kids = carpet hell) we have heavenly cream carpets again! Here are some tips for cleaning and restoring your outdoor slate:
Start by sweeping or vacuuming the surface of the slate to remove any loose dirt or debris.
Next, mix a mild soap with water and use a soft brush to clean the slate. Be sure to rinse the soap off completely afterwards.
If the slate is still stained, you can try using either acidic cleaner for limescale removal.
An alkaline cleaner can remove any topical coating from the existing stone
Whatever you do make sure to neutralise it with plenty of water.
You can also use a poultice to remove stubborn stains. To make a poultice, mix a powdered cleanser with water to form a paste. Apply the paste to the stained area and cover it with plastic wrap. Let it sit for 24 hours before washing it off.
Once you’ve cleaned the slate, you may want to seal it to protect it from future staining. There are many types of sealers available, so be sure to choose one that is compatible with slate.
